B.B. KingJazzfestNovember 30, 1999 B.B. sat down through most of the set. There were so many people out by the big stage I was up against the fence on the left side. I wasn't a fan, but I wanted to see the legend, and he didn't disappoint. Just to hear Lucille, his guitar, in person was cool. Also, when King started into "The Thrill Is Gone," I felt like time slowed down and I could fully appreciate life, if that makes any sense. I felt like the song was handed down from God, and I savored every moment of it. B.B.'s still doin' it, even if it is on commercials. |
